JHI Vehicle Reversing Systems form part of our DVS Kits for a Direct Vision Standard STAR RATING or HGV Safety Permit, required on all HGV’s more than 12 tonnes (GVW) that enter the Greater London Area.
Parking Sensor Systems are electronic guidance and warning systems that assist with safe reversing and also parking with ease and confidence.
We offer a comprehensive range of professional systems to suit the majority of vehicles at affordable prices. Parking Sensor Systems utilise a set of sensors (eye) that can be fitted to the rear or front bumpers of the vehicle.
Parking Sensors Systems utilise ultrasonic technology. The (eyes) sense the proximity of an object up to1.5 meters away from the rear or front of the vehicle and compute the exact position of the object.
The rear parking sensors are automatically activated when reverse gear is selected. An audible indication is given every time the sensors are selected to inform that that they are working.
Different audible indications are given depending on how close to the object your vehicle is. The further away the vehicle is, the slower the beep. The first warning zone begins at 1.2 metres with a slow audible beeps and becomes progressively quicker and shorter as the vehicle moves closer to an object. When the rapid audible warning beep changes to a constant tone, the vehicle is at a distance of 0.45 metres. this means that the vehicle is close enough to an object to indicate that damage could be caused if the vehicle travels any further.
All of our systems incorporate an exclusive facility called Digital Signal Measurement (DSM) technology, an important feature particularly for the recreational type vehicles fitted with tow hitches, bicycles, spare wheels etc.
The TTR system is an independent LED reverse /parking aid that is for use on towed vehicles such as truck trailers and caravans. This system can also be fitted to rigid lorries and motorhomes. Unlike standard systems which use audio and/or a display which link the sensors to the warning device in the cab of the towing vehicle, this unique system is completely independent of the vehicle that tows the load. This means that no matter which vehicle tows the load carriage, they will have the benefits of the TTR reverse system. The TTR system is suitable for both 12 volt & 24 volt vehicles.
The towed vehicle has four ultrasonic sensor eyes fitted to the rear of the trailor unit and TWO LED display units fitted to the rear side of the corners facing toward the front. When reverse is selected, the system switches on. As the vehicle reverses and objects enter the detection range, the LED display starts to flash and can be seen in either rear view mirror. As the vehicle gets closer to an object, the LED display begins to flash at different rates and varies the colours.
Marker 90 system is an independent LED reverse parking aid that is specifically designed for use on 7 tonne rigid bodied lorries and HGV trailers to assist the driver when reversing. The system helps prevent accidental damage and injuries.
Designed for 7 tonne ridged bodied vehicles and HGV trailers, the Marker 90 system is a stand-alone LED reverse parking aid.
The Marker 90 system is powered by the reversing light and is independent of the cab.
The wireless systems are also prone to RF interference in many areas and high maintenance costs. The Marker90 system is completely independent of the cab as the entire system is installed at the back of the truck or trailer and is powered by the reverse light. This always ensures the benefits of the Marker90 when reversing. This is ideal for fleet operators that use a drop-off pick-up system or that use trailers or contractors as the system always works irrespectively.
The Rigid or Trailer has four ultrasonic sensor eyes fitted into the rear bumper. The visual LED displays are built into both the rubber stalk mounted Marker Lights that are located on the rear side corners of the vehicle. The 2 Marker Lights are independent of the Marker90 system and work as a normal Marker Lights with white LED lights facing forward and Red LED lights facing towards the the rear. We have 4 ultra bright amber LED’s mounted within the white light of the Marker Lights facing forward.
When reverse is selected, the Marker90 system is powered by the reverse light power supply, which switches the Marker90 system on. As the vehicle reverses, any object that is detected 2.5m from the rear of the vehicle by the ultrasonic sensors in the rear bumper, will make the 4 ultra bright LED’s in both the Marker Lights start to flash AMBER slowly. The driver can see both the Marker Lights in either wing mirror. As the vehicle gets closer to the object the flash rate increases to further warn the driver to slow down and take care. When the object is approximately 45cm from the rear of the vehicle the flash rate goes constant warning the driver to stop.
Two different models of the Marker90 reverse warning system cater for the different bumper locations on the back of trucks and trailers. Both systems are suitable for 12 volt and 24 volt vehicles.
1. The first model (Marker90250) is for vehicles without a tail lift and the bumper that is mounted flush with the rear of the trailer. For this application the detection zone starts at 2.5m and the final constant zone is at 0.45m.
2. The second model (Marker90295) is used on vehicles with tail lifts and a bumper that is recessed under the back of the vehicle to give clearance to the lift. In this case the dead zone D is ignored but the detection from the back of the trailer is the same for both models as shown in the diagrams.
